Discover Keningau: Where to visit?

Located about three hours (or less) from Sabah capital, Keningau is a hidden gem and definitely for travellers who love rural and ecotourism (and away from tourists crowd).

Here are the places that I have been to (and will update from time to time).

1. Matanoi Hill

Suitable for family with active kids to hike, many instagrammable spots and rewarding view at the peak.

About 15 minutes drive from Keningau town is the less known temple Guang Ji. Gigantic Guan Yin statue is the highlight of this site, surrounded by tiny statue in its well-maintained garden. FOC

Bandukan Resort in Keningau

Plant lovers, feast your eyes for its beautifully manicured garden landscape at refurbished Taman Bandukan Resort. Well, it is also for those who love instaworthy sites and kids can enjoy fishing and visit its mini zoo.

Keningau barefoot cabin

One place for all. Cozy cabins for family or friends to spend a night for outdoor water activities- river, pool, pond. Barbeque pit and proper kitchen with utensils are available.

Mee Woo resort

Stay a night or two here to fully enjoy access to its waterpark. Apart from that, the resort also offers spa and gym facilities. We like its restaurant food as they serve value for money meals especially on festive days.

Do you know Sabah is the major milk producer for Malaysia? If you consume EcoYap milk, you probably want to visit his farm and get the idea of how it is run (and how sustainable and environmental friendly it is). However, to go there, you have to make appointment.
