Matanoi Hill, a peak with beautiful lush forests backdrop

                                 

This is my second time hiking up to the peak of Matanoi Hill at Api-Apin Keningau, the last one was in 2018 during the General Election. Having been staying at home during the two-year Covid-19 pandemic, my 8-year-old kid wanted to climb a hill so badly when the government relaxes the movement control order. 

                                   

We arrived at the entrance around 5pm and we were so lucky that we were the only visitors despite it was Saturday.  Happily paid the RM3 per adult, and RM2 for kid fees and began our climb. 

Instead of rushing to the top, we paced according to kid's speed and rest whenever she needed or whenever there are good photo spots. 

                                  

Despite the relax pace we had, we reached the peak within 15 minutes.
