Dragon Pearl Beach Resort, Kota Belud

Bree is enjoying the sun.

Dragon Pearl Beach Resort is for someone who like to have beach "for themselves".  It is known that islands in Kota Kinabalu and Semporna are always crowded by tourists that it is hardly to find a comfortable space even at the sea.

I brought my 4-year-old daughter for her first ever snorkeling trip at Pandan island, about 20 minutes boat ride from the resort.

The operator did not charge my kid. But for adult, they charged RM70 per person.

The sea was quite choppy but Bree coped well.

Playing with the water off Pandan island, it seemed like it was going to rain but only drizzled.

At here, you could slow down the time and enjoy the day.

She always had the chance to play outdoor activities here. As the internet signal is poor, gadget           time is also limited both for the kids and adults.

One of the accommodations is a house on the tree. Kid is excited. But during the time I went there, there were no air conditioners at all rooms. They provide fans, but as early as 930am, the room started to feel like sauna.

Overall, it is a nice and safe place. But, stray dogs around the resort were quite disturbing especially when we were having food at the cafe or at any compound. One of them even snatched Bree's food from her hand.

Local activity is to look for  sand worm which locals eat them,
