Kundasang Mount Valley Recreation and resort.

Tourism in Ranau is totally booming that nowadays, you need more than three days to explore the area. Kundasang Mount Valley Recreation and Resort is one of the attractions in Kundasang. It was not in our 2D1N itinerary, but the site is located on the way home in Kota Kinabalu. We thought, why not dropping by for awhile since we still had time to spare after lunch. As you can see above, there are many activities. But, we just chose The B.E Wonderland which seemed to be suitable for the whole family. Although we only went for one, but the entrance fee per person is no kidding....RM25 per person, FOC for kid below 3-year-old. Mom definitely complained about the expensive fee, but if it is once in lifetime, I think it should be ok. But, of course, if they could lower the price for locals' rate, the resort will still be able to get some profits from the high volume of visitors (locals really love Kundasang and they are repeat visitors). Is Peng Joon's workshop good?

Colleagues and I spent half day for this free workshop by so-called super rich non-fiction author Peng Joon who claimed that money are cashing in even when he is sleeping. The session started at 2pm and scheduled to finish around 4pm. About 300 people turned up for the event held at the Hyatt hotel in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. Also saw senior citizens (one with very bad hunch) took part in the workshop. In the beginning, Peng Joon threw the common ice-breaking questions such as "Are you born ready? It is not impossible? You are here because you think it is worth your time." After that he started to talk about his poor and hardworking father who was a government servant turned durian farmer...then he talked about him aced and got a scholarship but didn't do well while studying in UK. Tamparuli Heavenly Figs and Grapes. Is it worth visit?

Social media went abuzz with the existence of Grapes and Figs garden in hot climate of Sabah. I thought it would be good to learn how such miracles of growing "western fruit" in Malaysia? During last school holiday, I brought my family and kid to have a visit of the farm. The entrance is RM10 per adult. FOC for kids. We were unlucky as receptionist at that time was quite cranky and unfriendly. That slightly spoiled our mood.
