Keningau's Barefoot Cabin

A new place in Keningau to stay overnight and be with the nature.

An ample space of six huts (three with air-conditioners and the remaining are open huts) area.

If you go to the reception, you would notice a food cart used in aeroplane. Just learn that the owner was a stewardess of 15 years with Malaysia Airlines.

Thus, the hospitality is also tip-top. I mean from booking, checking in and towards the end of the stay.

I believe her travelling experience helps in providing better and more comfortable stay for patrons at Barefoot cabin.

When I came across this place at social media, I thought it would be very basic-as in camping style- and with limited electricity plugs.

But surprisingly, lights and fans, air conditioner, water heaters are available.

We stayed at the open hut. RM120/night.

Bree was excited to sleep on a bunk bed. (Her wish list when she becomes a teenager).

There is a pool in front of the lake. Saw the workers clean it before pumping in water into the reservoir by 5pm.

There is a BBQ pit near the hut. It is FOC

There is also a sharing kitchen whereby you can prepare your food, or even cook rice or steamboat. The owner also prepares kitchen utensils in case you forget to bring.
