Glamping at Cabana retreat.

Let's understand the concept of Cabana retreat by knowing the meaning of three words. 

Glamping: is a portmanteau of glamorous and camping and describes a style of camping with amenities and, in some cases, resort-style services not usually associated with "traditional"

Retreat: to go away from a place or person in order to escape from anything that annoy you. 

Cabana: Cabana or Cabaña may refer to either an "indigenous hut" or a "recreational structure".

I almost quit my job and become penniless full-time stay-at-home mother few years back. I always feel guilty for not being able to give full love to my daughter as I send her to daycare and school. 

Up until today, I am still working and bring some money home every month. It used to be that I will spend those money for vacation whenever it is my off days. But, since Bree started school, our vacation would be during school holiday. 

Cabana Retreat at Kampung Rampayan Laut in Kota Belud is a good getaway for city folks.

We reached the place at about 5pm from Kota Kinabalu after about two hours of driving.

It was hot and the place was crowded as its management also allows visitors to walk in and enjoy the beach and activities at the price of RM5.

Daughter and I were enjoying the sun that was about to set.

Husband tried out the ATR for 10 minutes. He didn't like it cos it was quite sluggish, perhaps the tyres were not meant to move on the sand.

        Bree and I tried but it was quite ok.

    There is a portable air-conditioner, but starting 8am, the heat is unbearable, it is hard to stay asleep. But it is ok, the breakfast buffet is served at 8am.
