Divers' a day with marine biologists at Gayana Marine Resort

It was a fine Monday when four of us came to Gayana Marine resort for a dive meant to better understand "how marine biologists" work behind the conservation.

Initially, we were worried as it was drizzling in the morning. But, it was crystal clear and the sea was really calm.

Welcome to Gayana Marine Resort's dive centre.

Briefing by Mr Alvin Wong. Young and very knowledgeable marine biologists 王芳馨 Ong Fang Sing and 彭雪晴 Pang Shek Qin.

The dive includes collecting coral fragments, to attach them to bio rock structure and at the hanging structure.

Second activity is to open chest treasure of giant clams, which the resort successfully propagate seven species of them.

Third is the cleaning of coral cement base, which is covered by algae and other predators.

Divers are getting ready to do their giant stride into water.
