| Shangrila offers virtual wedding ceremony packages for couples to celebrate their joyous occasion. |
Kota Kinabalu: The Shangri-La’s Rasa Ria Resort & Spa will be holding Sabah’s first virtual wedding event on Saturday, 19 September 2020, at 4 pm.
This event is a collaboration between Rasa Ria and four other wedding solutions providers – Sounds Tech Production Sdn. Bhd, All About Love Wedding Photography, Dream Couture Wedding Couture Wedding Planner & Specialist and Music Monster Academy.
The 1-hour event will be aired live on the resort’s official Facebook page with support from Sounds Tech Production studio.
"It will focus on providing information and tips to couples who are looking to tie the knot.
"Another focus of the event is to give one lucky couple the chance to have their dream wedding."
The Resort, in a statement, said since the Movement Control Order (MCO) which was implemented on 18 March, a lot of couples have had to postpone their wedding and readjust their plans according to the guidelines set by the Health Ministry.
Through this virtual wedding event, the five participating partners are hoping to help couples celebrate their special day even with a limited number of guests.
The event is designed to be in a talk show setting where the partners will be addressing the main concerns faced by wedding couples in this new normal.
They will also share what to expect as well as alternatives to their concerns so that their family and friends would still be able to share their big day.
Another highlight during the event would be the announcement of the winner for the ‘Win A Free Wedding at Rasa Ria’, where one lucky couple will win a free wedding ceremony worth over RM20,000.
The grand prize is a contribution from each of the partners.
To participate in this video contest couples will need to submit a 2-minute video to a link available on Shangri-La’s Rasa Ria Resort & Spa’s Facebook page.
The winner will be chosen based on the video submission with the highest number of engagements on the post.
The last day for the video submission is Thursday, 10 September 2020.
