If you happen to go to Kundasang, there is a modern cafe at Mesilau area where you can find food and beverages with same standard in Kota Kinabalu or any other town. As they are serving "hip cafe" food, do expect that the price is also more expensive.
Do avoid lunch hour as it will usually be packed especially during weekends. Another good thing about this is you could do cashless and credit card transaction here. I mean, it is a hassle to bring so much cash especially coins.
Hooga Cafe is also an ideal place as apart from dining in, visitors can also take good pictures at the nicely decorated interior (but it comes with entrance fee).
Disclaimer: These pictures were taken during pandemic year (2021), that time the entrance fee also included the visit to its hydroponic area at the back.
If you are lucky enough, you could also pick and pay for the strawberries and vegetables that you harvest from the farm.
