The biggest flower in the world is only known in textbooks and the bank notes. We were fortunate to encounter a blooming Rafflesia at a village next to hot spring. There is a Rafflesia Garden at the Kinabalu Park, but should none of its flowers are blooming, you can always ask their staff to guide you to this village.

This was indeed a first sight for three of us. The Covid-19 pandemic made everything outside the house looks so pretty and soothing. For years, we have been neglecting to appreciate the gems that can be found at home. The guide said usually foreigners would be those who enquire to have a look at this flower.
